Exactly that: news about forthcoming books by favorite authors, book gossip, and, in this opening case, about newly discovered writings by old favorites. John Curran, who describes himself as an "[Agatha Christie] arch-fan", has found, in Christie's private notebooks, two previously unpublished stories featuring Hercule Poirot, her brainy endearingly arrogant little Belgian detective. news.aol.com/article/new-agatha-christie-stories-found/520214?icid=main|htmlws-main|dl1|link4|http%3A%2F%2Fnews.aol.com%2Farticle%2Fnew-agatha-christie-stories-found%2F520214The stories were never published in the form in which Curran has found them; one was incorporated into a novel, the other retaining its title but being entirely rewritten otherwise. I'm an Agatha Christie fan from way way back--more so since I've seen, over the past decade or so, the actor David Suchet bring Poirot to such convincing life. I'm looking forward to the release of these stories, which is scheduled for later this year.
